Time is Of The Essence, Set Yourself Up For Success

Have you noticed that time seems to have speed up these days, causing the years to fly by as though we're moving thru life in a Leer Jet? I can not believe that the year is nearly over, and as I look back on where I was at the beginning of the year, I have to question myself and ask "What did I really accomplish this year?"

Considering that I am a new mom, that's all I needed to focus on, but being a born motivational speaker, I'm often faced with thoughts of the messages that I would like to share, with the most recent compelling one that is nagging at me is "What will Your Obituary Say When You Move On?"

Sounds like a crazy topic, but I'm often reminded of a question my Pastor posed to us over 10 years ago when he asked "How would you like to get to Heaven and have God show you who you could have been?"

With that said, I like to get people to really think about what they would have liked to accomplish once they transition out of this world. If you think about all the things you would have like to accomplish while here on this earth, would you say that you are happy with the progress that you have made? Or have you been procrastinating and putting it off because you don't have time?

My harsh reality is that I am slipping. I know for a fact that I need to step up my game and stop playing around, and just do it!

My encouragement for you today is to get started moving towards your "New Years Resolutions", before the New Year arrives. Position Yourself for Success Now and press towards your goals.

Time is running right past us and it is no respecter of persons. You can either be a parked car or become a Leer Jet and Sail thru the clouds on Your Way to Your Destiny!

Please send me your comments and let me know if you are with me on this one!

Rock The Vote........

OMG........I have never been so excited about an election in my life. This morning we left the house around 7am with the expectation of heavy traffic, and boy it was a ghost town. I am so proud of the schools, they actually cancelled school so that everyone could vote. Talk about HIStory......., Amazing.

So, I got a speeding ticket and had to spend the morning in court (Oooppss...did I say that), But I refuse to spend idle time listening to other peoples cases, so I read this book "The Principles of Personal Power" by Napoleon Hill and with all that's going on with the election, I found myself annoyed with the derogatory campaigning on behalf of my beloved Future President.......You know who he is;)

But the quote that I read was so remarkable that I had to share it:

"In every field of human endeavor, he that is first must perpetually live in the white light of publicity. Whether the leadership be vested in a man or in a manufactured product, emulation and envy are ever at work...

When a man's work becomes a standard for the whole world, it also becomes a target for the shafts of the envious few. if his work be merely mediocre, he will be left severely alone -- if he achieves a masterpiece it will set a million tongues a-wagging.....

...If the leader truly leads, he remains the leader!

...That which is good or great makes itself known, no matter how loud the clamor of denial.

A real leader cannot be slandered or damaged by lies of the envious, because all such attempts serve only to turn the spotlight on his ability, and real ability always finds a generous following.

Attempts to destroy real leadership is love's labor lost, because that which deserves to live, lives!!"

Life and Death......

So, I just got back from Florida, and I had a headache all weekend from the funeral. It's so hard to see a friend go from being in the frame of your camera with a gorgous smile, to being on the cover of an Obituary.

Although I knew she had passed, it didn't hit me until I walked into the funeral and saw her face with the dates that marked her birth and her death.....WOW....

My husband and I had a lot to talk about over the weekend and re-evaluate how we can get so engulfed in things that don't matter, while our lives pass us by............

I want to ask you if there are several things that you'd like to accomplish, that you find yourself ignoring and burying in the sand.

What would you like said about you at your funeral? How would you like to be remembered?

I'm reminded of a statement my Pastor always said to trigger provoking thoughts about our lives....He would say:

How would you like to get to Heaven and have God show you what you "could of done" and "who you could have been"
I'm often reminded of this statement when I am dreaming and not doing.......
What are you dreaming about today, that you should be acting on.............?????
My encouragement it to get out here and be radical about your dreams, putting forth some type of effort to see them through before you move on to the heavenlys'.
